Special Ways We Care For You

Beyond our main care services, OAW offers convenient support to make your treatment easier. Our team of nurses helps answer questions between appointments, our on-site imaging saves you extra trips, and we provide same-day fracture care with casting right in our clinic.

Nurse Assistance

Because questions come up between appointments, OAW has a full-time team of nurses to address patient questions and concerns regarding current treatment, post-operative concerns, or anything else related to your care and recovery.

Nurses work directly with OAW providers, primary-care doctors, other specialists, case managers, therapists, labs, and imaging centers to help coordinate your care.

Fracture and Casting

OAW treats all kinds of fractures. If you’re hurt, we can see you the same day through our ortho-specific walk-in clinic.

If you need a cast, our well-trained staff will apply it in the color of your choice!
And if your fracture requires surgery, we’ll schedule your surgery as quickly and conveniently as possible.

No matter what bone you broke or how you broke it, we can help.

Joint Replacement

Our physicians have been performing joint replacements in the Wausau area for more than 25 years – and our patient outcomes for joint replacements are in the top 5% in the nation!

We offer anterior hip replacements, reverse total shoulder replacements, partial knee replacements, and hand-joint replacements in addition to traditional knee, hip and shoulder replacements.

If you suffer from painful joints, call our office at 715-907-0900 to see how we can help you.

Imaging

Imaging is an important diagnostic tool for orthopaedic providers.

High-quality X-rays let us look at your bones’ overall structure and health – and we make it easy for you by having digital X-rays and radiologic technologists right in our office.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) lets us assess soft tissues in the body that we can’t see with an X-ray. Our MRI capability means we can guarantee high-quality imaging.
