David initially graduated in 1987 from UW-Madison with a Bachelors in Business Administration degree. While working in Chicago as a financial analyst, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament and went on to have it surgically reconstructed. Four months of rehabilitating his knee after the surgery was enough to convince him to change careers and become a Physical Therapist. He returned to UW-Madison to complete his prerequisite course studies and subsequently graduated from the PT program at UW-La Crosse in 1996.
His love of sports led him to begin his PT career at UW Sports Medicine where he worked with, and learned from the UW Badgers’ team physicians for five years. He went on to earn his Sports Certified Specialist credentials in 2003.
After he got married, he and his wife moved to the Wausau area be closer to family, and to start a family of their own. Since 2001, he has worked in several outpatient orthopedic clinics in the Wausau and Stevens Point communities. When providing patient care, he strives to restore each patient’s optimal biomechanics and function through a combination of exercise, manual therapy and modalities.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dave enjoys family time with his wife and three kids. This includes spending time up at the family cottage, hiking the woods with the family dog, boating, grilling, playing pickleball, and cheering on his favorite Wisconsin Badgers sports teams.
